Abstract
This research is intended to assess leadership style of managers, assistants and bosses of acompany of Saipafrom two perspectives. First, self-evaluation as well as evaluation by the employees; and second, the relationship betweendemographic features of employees and the outcome of managers’ leadership. This is an applied descriptive research which assesses correlational relationship.Full-range leadership theory (FRLT) was applied for the assessment of leadership style, and Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) was used for data collection. Both inferential and descriptive statistical methods including Pierson’s correlation test, one way analysis of variance, and t-test, were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the outcome of leadership (employees’ motivation, employees satisfaction and leadership effectiveness) are directly related to transformational leadership. There is a deep gap between the scores of self-evaluation and those of employees’ evaluation. The scores that bosses and their assistants gave in self-evaluation were quite higher. A significant difference was observed between the outcomes of leadership and transformational leadership styles. There was a significant positive relationship between demographic features of the followers and their understanding of leadership style and outcomes only at assistant’s levels
