| Abstract | ||
| For about a century, Kurdish nationalists have been fighting against their respective governments with the aim of forming Greater Kurdistan. They try to hide the existence of various "oppositions" and "othernesses" between themselves and the people of Kurdistan, with a nationalist point of view, and place them in a chain of equality and a single discourse. In this way, the "self" of the Kurds is imagined in front of the "other" of the central governments. The result of this idea will be nothing but the belief in the necessity of Kurdish independence and the formation of a unified government. This is despite the fact that the Kurds, like other ethnic and linguistic groups, have different ethnic, religious, racial, ideological and even linguistic divisions. The main question of the current research is that considering the existence of these gaps, is the formation of Greater Kurdistan feasible or not? In response to this question, the hypothesis is raised that due to the existence of various social divisions among the Kurds, the realization of this goal faces serious problems. The present article, together with the analysis of this issue, aims to investigate the possibility of realizing the ideal of Greater Kurdistan. The findings of the research indicate that the unification of Kurds and the formation of Greater Kurdistan is impossible due to the existence of social divisions among them. The data analysis of the present research was done using the discourse analysis method of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. Library-documentary tools were also used in data collection and analyzed by descriptive-analytical method | ||
