Presenting the Fear-Free Culture Model in Organizations: A Metatheoretical Approach with Van De Ven Method | ||

| Abstract | ||
| The purpose of the present study was to present the fear-free culture model in organizations. For this purpose, Van De Ven’s (2007) theorizing methodology was used, which included four stages of formulating the problem, forming alternative theories, gathering clues and evidence, and applying the findings. Formulating the problem was done by examining the problem among the employees and, in general, the different views raised about fear and its roots among the employees. On the other hand, Ritzer’s (1989) metatheoretical approach was used to form alternative theories and theorizing of the first type, that is, metatheorizing as a means of attaining a deeper understanding of theory, which consists of four sub-branches: internal-social, external-social, internal-intellectual, and external-intellectual. The obtained findings showed that the fears of people working in organizations are often rooted in environmental/external (economic, political, social), organizational (relational, functional, motivational, working conditions) and individual (family, mental, physical) issues, each of which these issues are centered around their respective theories. In this way, the conceptual model of the research was designed based on the aforementioned theories and in the form of implementing a culture without fear in organizations. The solutions proposed in this study can be used to identify and root the fears of employees and managers in order to institutionalize a culture without fear in organizations, increase the effectiveness of employees and increase the productivity level of organizations. | ||
