| چکیده [English] | ||
| The rise of new technologies has introduced "digital diplomacy," a modern approach that uses online platforms to shape a country’s image, craft strategic narratives, and engage directly with global audiences. This study compares China’s digital diplomacy trends in East Asia to identify practical lessons for enhancing Iran’s soft power in West Asia. The key question is: “What trends characterize China’s digital diplomacy in East Asia, and how can these inform strategies to boost Iran’s soft power in West Asia?” This study adopts a trend analysis approach grounded in documentary research to identify the main patterns and recurring themes of China’s digital diplomacy in East Asia. Through a comparative framework, it also examines the public diplomacy strategies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in West Asia, drawing relevant lessons from China’s experience. The findings reveal four key trends in China’s digital diplomacy: strategic digital narrative construction, scientific and elite network-building, the expansion of digital cultural and educational institutions, and the growing involvement of technology companies in foreign policy. The study suggests that a deeper understanding of these trends and China’s digital diplomacy model could offer valuable insights for enhancing Iran’s soft power in the West Asian region. | ||
