Abstract
This study is intended to investigate the effect of job characteristics on the development of job path and the capabilities to adapt to it in the branches of social security office of Hamadan province. This research is a quantitative and applied survey descriptive study implemented in a cross-sectional analysis. The statistical population of this research includes all 350 staff members of social security departments of Hamadan province.  Stratified random sampling method, based on the number of employees in each city, including 185 members formed the sample. The data of this study was collected using a standard questionnaire whose validity and reliability were tested and confirmed.  Data analysis was conducted by structural modeling based on partial least squares modeling and Smart PLS software. The findings of this research confirmed the significant effect of job characteristics on the development of job path and its adaptive capabilities. It was also found that job matching capabilities had a direct and significant effect on the growth of job path.
