چکیده | ||

One of the important issues related to Islamic culture and identity in this period is the way women dress, which is reflected in the paintings and photography of this period. The purpose of this article is to investigate the type of clothing and representation of women's clothing outside and inside the house; This research has been done with the aim of introducing the culture of Iranian women's clothing and clothing by studying related texts and works. The main question of the research: How was the configuration of women's clothing in indoor and outdoor clothing and what parts did it include? The current research method is descriptive-analytical and qualitative research, and this matter is investigated according to written texts and visual sources. The results of the research show that the configuration of women's clothing in the Qajar period consists of different parts and there are real examples of it that can be matched with photography and painting samples as visual documents of this period. Iranian women enjoy the freedom and diversity of clothing outside the home, but outside the home, this clothing is limited to the chador. According to the evidence, Iranian women in the Qajar period always emphasized on the beauty of their clothing, and this is also reflected in the art of painting and photography of this period
